James W. Wilkie, Professor of History, is interested in Latin America and globalizaiton since 1900. He conducts research on the impact of communication and information networks on civil socity; the rise of free trade blocs; ecnonomic and social change in Latin America; and oral history of national leaders. He holds a Ph.D. in history from UC Berkeley.
