Elline Lipkin reads Adnan Mohsen's "More Rare," followed by her own poem written with Aga Shahid Ali entitled "Al-Mutanabbi Street."

Elline Lipkin is a Research Scholar with UCLA's Center for the Study of Women.  Her first book of poems, The Errant Thread, was selected by Eavan Boland for the Kore Press First Book Award.  Her second book, Girls' Studies, was published by Seal Press in 2009 and explores contemporary girlhood in America.  She teaches creative writing in Los Angeles and writes about gender for a variety of publications.
