The series was created, written and directed by Lior Chefetz and comes from Keshet Media Group and Academy Award®-nominated Producer Lawrence Bender.

About the Series
RED ALERT is a four-part series that reveals real stories of ordinary people turned heroes, portraying the largest and deadliest massacre in Israel’s history, when more than 1,200 concert-goers, families and individuals near the Gaza border were murdered and 250 kidnapped. Drawing from the true experiences of those who survived, RED ALERT weaves their courageous personal stories into a cinematic narrative of the devastating terrorist attack that turned southern Israel into a war zone, testing humanity and forging heroism through chaos.

About the Speakers
Lawrence Bender is an award-winning film and television producer whose work has grossed over a billion dollars worldwide. His films, including Pulp Fiction, Good Will Hunting, and Inglourious Basterds, have received 37 Academy Award nominatins and won 9, including three nominations for Best Picture. His documentary An Inconvenient Truth won the Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature, and in 2020 he produced the Peabody Award-winning short Cops and Robbers and the Acadmy Award-winning short Two Distant Strangers.
Bender is an executive producer of the Paramount+ limited series Red Alert. His other credits include The Harder They Fall, Hacksaw Ridge, Silence, and Kill BIll: Vol. 1 and Vol. 2. In television, he has produced two dozen projects with partner Kevin Brown, including the Emmy Award-winning Seven Seconds and the Godlen Globe-nominated Flesh and Bone.
Dr. Felicia Marie Knaul (moderator) is the Associate of the Chancellor at UCLA, a distinguished professor of medicine, and a Senior Advisor to both the Dean of the David Geffen School of Medicine and the President of UCLA Health, and Director of Global Health at the Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center.
She is internationally recognized for her transformative research in global health, health systems and health economics. She currently co-chairs two Lancet Commissions on violence against women and children and cancer and health systems. Before coming to UCLA, Dr. Knaul served as Director of the Institute for Advanced Study of the Americas at the University of Miami. She earned a master's and Ph.D. in economics from Harvard University, and her bachelor's in international development from the University of Toronto.
